ALLEGIANCE: For the purposes of this form, the following qualifies a person to be considered as bearing allegiance to the state of biafra [1967-1970]:  any person physically located and of ancestral descent from any of the ethnic groups making up the then republic of biafra within the pendency of the conflict is considered as bearing allegiance being a citizen of the then republic and is registrable. Any person not physically domiciled in the biafran territory but bearing allegiance to the state of biafra based on the premise established in the foregoing and whose demise is traceable to the physical or mental effect of the war is also registrable. Any or all persons who at the material time were not biafran nationals but had ancestral descent or affiliation with any of the ethnic groups in the then biafran republic and were killed on account of that fact are also registrable. Any soldier or fighter, volunteer or aid worker not being a biafran national but operating under the flag of biafra or in aid of the biafran republic at the time of the conflict and met their demise on account of that are registrable.
